SD cards
  • The FORCE-DARK only works with standard SD cards.
  • Please use a standard SD card between 2 to 128GB capacity.
  • Make sure that you only use Class 4 or Class 10 memory cards.
  • Please format the memory cards before the first use.
Power supply
  • The FORCE-DARK works with 8x R6(AA) batteries or with a 12V battery.
  • Make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly into the battery compartment, otherwise the FORCE-DARK may be damaged.

Installation instructions (PC)
  1. Make sure you use a standard Class 4, Class 10, or Class 10/U1 SD card with up to 128 GB.
  2. Format the SD card. (Video)
  3. Download the software.
  4. Open the downloaded .zip file by double-clicking it.
  5. Copy the files from the .zip file to the SD card. (Only the individual files, not folders).
  6. Make sure that the FORCE-PRO is turned off.
  7. Insert the SD card into the FORCE-PRO.
  8. Turn on the camera in the “Setup” menu.
  9. Press “OK” to enter the menu.
  10. Select the “About” option and press “OK”,
  11. Press “UP” and confirm with “OK”.
  12. Press “UP” and press “OK” to start the update.
  13. The display shows “Upgrading”.
  14. The display turns off, you can turn off the camera.
  15. The camera is upgraded.
Installation instructions (MAC)
  1. Make sure you use a standard Class 4, Class 10, or Class 10/U1 SD card with up to 128 GB.

  6. Right-click MacOS_PrepareSDCard.command on the SD card and select
  7. Open with Terminal to run the file.
  8. Make sure that the FORCE-PRO is turned off.
  9. Insert the SD card into the FORCE-PRO.
  10. Turn on the camera in the “Setup” menu.
  11. Press “OK” to enter the menu.
  12. Select the “About” option and press “OK”,
  13. Press “UP” and confirm with “OK”.
  14. Press “UP” and press “OK” to start the update.
  15. The display shows “Upgrading”.
  16. The display turns off, you can turn off the camera.
  17. The camera is upgraded.
